Just my prediction that many issues will come up. The government isn’t going to let a hunch of humans outside there control in space

yeah... probably, but many issues also come up with other Mars missions: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_missions_to_Mars

but still, there are more and more new missions, and more and more problems are already solved.

First people on Mars will be remembered forever. A lot of people want to be remembered ;)
