The UN General Assembly rejected the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel
The UN General Assembly passed by an overwhelming majority a resolution on the non-recognition of the US decision on the status of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
128 countries voted to support the document, against nine, 35 more abstained.
Earlier, US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley said that voting in the organization would not change Washington's decision to move the embassy to Jerusalem.
