My Master today sent a message which said Chandraya Namaha - meaning reverential salutations to the Moon. Today is a special day because of the wonderful moon spectacle. The red moon, the blue moon and the eclipse; all happened on the same day. Such a spectacle happened last - 150 years ago. In Santana Dharma we pray to Moon since He bestows health and is master of the herbs. Most of the pollution caused during the day is cleansed by the moon during the night. Moon is a picture of serenity and also an inseparable part of our life. In India they also celebrate when a person completes seeing 1000 full moons. This is generally around one’s 80 th Birthday.
