END OF THE YEAR

I LIKE TO WRITE BECAUSE …..

This is the beginning of a NEW YEAR once again. I have been looking forward to the END OF THE YEAR for some time. Could this year going any slower, conversely, can we get closer to our goal sooner?

With everything in business, “you’re not done until the paperwork is done”! I LIKE TO WRITE BECAUSE for me, it helps put off the inevitable. I have about 3 months of records to get caught up with. When I think about this task, I find another reason that I can delay it. Writing is just the ticket!

I LIKE TO WRITE BECAUSE it gives me an opportunity to share my thoughts and thoughts of others that I view with value. Over the years, I have often written about subjects that I gather from people like ROBERT KIYOSAKI. If you want to be in business, you just might want to find inspiration from someone that has been where you plan to go.

BECAUSE I SAID SO

I watched a movie with my wife long ago by the title: BECAUSE I SAID SO. This was an interesting movie about a mother of 3 adult children (all women) and how she had to be in the middle of their lives to the point of control. Thinking about this movie makes me think of the IRS in the same light.

Me: Why do I have to file tax returns? IRS: BECAUSE I SAID SO!

Don’t you feel they are like a controlling mother? I know I have to get caught up on that paperwork but right now, I would rather WRITE!

There are 2 reasons to track what you have done with your business during the year.
You need to know what your profit status is to be sure you are doing what is necessary.
You need to have adequate records of what you have done with your business for tax reporting requirements.

LOOKING FORWARD TO PAYING TAXES IN 2018

I learned a valuable lesson more than 20 years ago from a farmer. We were discussing requirements of paying taxes. He got upset at one point and exclaimed: “WHEN I GET TO PAY TAXES, IT MEANS I MADE MONEY THIS YEAR!”

2017 wasn’t a “good tax year” but it built the foundation. Because of what has occurred in 2017, I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO PAYING TAXES IN 2018!
