Steemit Engagement Challenge S7/W3|Share your last family holiday experience and pictures.

The Steemit Engagement Challenge for Week 3 of Season 7 asks users to share their last family holiday experience and pictures. This is a great opportunity to reflect on past happy memories and to share those memories with the Steemit community.

For my family, holidays are all about spending time together and making new memories. We love to travel, and our last holiday was no exception. We went on a three day two night train and road trip to the northernmost state of Perlis, starting from the Old Kuala Lumpur Train Station and making our way through the states of Selangor, Perak, Kedah, and Perlis. We rented a four wheel drive and drove around Perlis, stopping to explore different places and towns along the way. On the trip was myself, my two daughters, my wife, my wife's sister and her two daughters, making seven of us in all.

The Keretapi Tanah Melayu Electric Train System trip was something that the family had waited for since the end of the pandemic. We had been planning this trip for months and were so excited to finally be able to go. The train ride itself was a great experience. We could see the beautiful scenery outside and it felt like we were travelling through time. So years earlier I was on a full boarding school in Kuala Kangsar Perak and going back for school holidays were bt train. The train was also very comfortable and had plenty of space for us to spread out and enjoy the journey. We also had plenty of snacks and drinks on board, which made it even more enjoyable. It was an unforgettable experience that we will always remember fondly.

The Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTMB) electric train system is a popular and efficient mode of transportation in Malaysia. Cruising at a max speed of 145 KM per hour ETS would give the family a different experience. Only I had taken the ride previously. The KTMB system is made up of a number of different lines that crisscross the country. The KTMB system is a reliable and affordable way to get around Malaysia. The KTMB system is also environmentally friendly, as it uses less fuel than other modes of transportation.

We checked in at Hotel Sri Malaysia. The hotel is 10 minutes' drive from Royal Town Arau and is situated in Kangar, the state capital of Perlis, the northernmost state in Malaysia. For an enhanced stay in Kangar, Hotel Seri Malaysia Kangar offers a variety of amenities. There are numerous services available at the hotel. Laksa Perlis and grilled fish served with a specific hot sauce are just two of the various dishes that locals and tourists enjoy in Perlis.

It was an amazing trip and we saw so many beautiful places. One of our favourite moments was when we drove to a forest recreation area where there were swimming pools in the jungle setting. Next we went to an agro park, where they had grapes planted. There were lots of scenic paddy fields everywhere we go. We had lunch at Ikan Bakar Pokok Petai, and for the night we had dinner at Api Api Ikan Bakar Kuala Perlis, a seafood joint. Overall all the places we ate, had 9 out of 10 rating that we gave and enjoyed the view, and eating good food.

The view from Wang Kelian is one that is hard to forget. The panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, limestone hills, and countryside is something that will stay with you for a long time. They were convinced that one of the hills looked like an elephant from a distance, and said that that was the symbol of Thailand, the land of the elephants. It's an experience that is difficult to put into words, but it's one that is definitely worth experiencing.

We also took a lot of pictures throughout the trip, which I would love to share with the Steemit community.

This was an incredible trip and it's something my family and I will always remember. I would love to visit that place once again with my family. It was such a special place to us and I am sure we would have a great time revisiting it.Holidays are definitely a time when we make some of our best memories together.

I hope everyone has a chance to share their own holiday experiences and pictures in this Engagement Challenge. I'm looking forward to reading all about your adventures!
