Cesar Cocktail

Created in Canada and consumed almost exclusively by them, Caesar (or Bloody Caesar) is a very popular...

Bloody mary-like cocktail. That means it's not made for every palate.

Caesar is not made for everyone because it contains, carefully, clam broth. Yes, don't make that face, it's just that it has Clamato, a drink that mixes tomatoes with that peculiar ingredient, among other things. Caesar or Bloody Caesar (because of its blood-like color) was invented by bartender Walter Chell in 1969, who first prepared it at Owl's Nest bar in Calgary, Alberta.

Chell says he received the inspiration on a trip to Italy, where he found that the spaghetti had a clam and tomato sauce that looked great on it. And he transferred that union to a drink, which he perfected with vodka and other ingredients to create Caesar, which is named after its tranaslpine origin. Today it is a very popular drink in Canada, where since 2009 it even has its own day (May 13), but is a great unknown outside its borders.

4 taps of Worcestershire sauce

1 pinch of freshly ground pepper

Caesar is very easy to prepare as it follows the "one, two, three, four" rule. A touch of vodka, two touches of hot sauce, three touches of salt and pepper, four touches of Worcestershire sauce and five or six touches of Clamato. Served on the rocks.
