RE: TGIF WITH @jeaniepearl.......Episode 3

Amazing initiative, more grace @jeaniepearl

As regards the topic of the week,

Acquiring skills is a form of education in it sense, but going by the general understanding of education.
Formal education is gradually loosing it grip because it standard is falling each day. Educated folks now have been raped of creative thinking, that's why you hear of creative minds leaving school to pursue their dreams

The balance can happen if in our educational systems, students are allowed and taught ways to build their interest and develop skills that can solve real life problems.

Sort:

Agreed!
And what I find is that formal education is completely off center.
a) Academic dogma - formal education FAVORS entrenched bureaucracy and governments, much more than new ideas.
b) Academic dogma, ends up shaping generations to come, in formal society. This is the opposite of change..
c) In USA, often graduates are left deeply in debt with no job avialable when they graduate. This is a common situation all over the world now.

wow! I thought it was only a syndrome significant to Africa.

Wow..! Most people in this part of the world are used to thinking USA is a land of zero unemployment. And sometimes any attention to counteract their view ends in physical fisticuffs. Thanks for setting the record straight.
