U.S. TV Series on the History Channel Vikings

My first post, hope I'm not too 'low brow' for my tags in this post.

Speading the word on the History Channel show called "Vikings." I don't normally recommend entertainment shows, as there are so many, this one I'd say in my top five of all time.

If you haven't seen Vikings, with main characters Ragnar and Lagertha, I recommend it if you are at all interested in the subject matter, Vikings conquering, which is centered around the year 793. It is brutal, has clashes of culture, and tests the human spirit along with very three dimensional characters, and the friends and family of Ragnar and Lagertha. It's not that I enjoy the brutality and other non-watered down depictions of life back then, but I am interested in many of the realities of that era, and how the people managed their lives in such hostile life. And yes, I am a big fan of Lagertha!

The cast is amazing, as is the wardrobe, equipment, boats, and combat. All this lends to viewer being immersed in that era, and while not a documentary, it still stay close in spirit to those times.
