IF YOU'RE READING THIS ITS TOO LATE
I live where you vacation. It's pretty dope actually. Florida is a cool place, white sand beaches are the main attraction as well as the hot weather. Florida's beaches are some of the best in the United States. Honestly, the Caribbean and Pacific look insane.
But, Florida is the place to be in the summer. The beach scene is dope and nightlife in university is wild. The best part about being a student at the University of Florida is the people and nightlife. At midtown and downtown, clubs and bars are always poppin'. During the day, there's always someone to chill with. There's 50k students, there's gotta be something to do.
But I'm not a typical college student, I'm trying to be a part of the technological revolution of blockchain that is literally happening before our eyes. The shift to incentivized dApps, cryptocurrencies being used for payment, AI and self-automated/taught machines. It's a wave that seems like an opportunity of a lifetime to catch, kinda like that one.
Surfing is dope. I'm a huge surf fan and surfer. Surfing some awesome reef swell in Indonesia or something would be the craziest thing ever. East coast of Florida is huge with the surfing. National shark bite capital of the world at New Smyrna Beach, wow sounds like the #SharkSchooldiscord server.
The real stuff:
Buzzwords
#crypto #blockchain or something like that. Digital nomad! That's the one I was looking for, its a big one. A lot of people are asking what that is? Really don't know?
According to #Urban Dictionary: One who derives income remotely and online, rather than from commuting to an office. This enables the digital nomad to not need a permanent home base, and she/he can travel anywhere at any time. Along with these hashtags:
#nomad #gypsy #wanderer #perpetual #traveler #roamer
Alright you got it? Digital nomads do work from their computer on the internet and make a living. It's a lifestyle. Me, I go to school and do my studying, so I'm never remote. But, most are. Doing their work in cities for weeks or a few months and moving to the next place. The lifestyle isn't what is important.
Its the actual work. Theres a learning curve, similar to everything, and with the help of #SharkSchool you can be part of a community. I focus on the shift to the Web 3.0, as there will be a plethora of opportunities to become an early adopter of blockchain based dApps that take over the future similar to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and many others. Those big 3 dominate the social media front in many countries.
There's a change that comes at some point in time. There is an influx of users on a new platform that's better than all the current applications used. These companies and their products, could easily be blockchain based dApps. Without a doubt, there are already projects, like Steemit, that have a working product. While Steemit has some critical flaws, I think they could be updated and developed to make the platform a new Quora or Medium.
I am trying to take this drive and knowledge to the top
Kobe Bryant is a baller. He has that unrelenting tenacious attitude when it comes to ballin'. It's something you have or not. Have it.
I've got a spot on the executive board in a club here at uni that is for blockchain and cryptocurrency research and promotion. We meet weekly to spread the word on cryptocurrencies, and I just got some updates for the future. First of all, we just had a party with Bitcoin.com and it was a good time. Here's some photos:
We had a bar tab at a bar here in Gainesville and it was a good event. Made some really good connections with some hedge fund guys, programmers and investors. The club is dope because there's a bunch of people knowledgable in crypto and blockchain. There's a few groups here in Gainesville as well.
Bitcoin
All the crypto, #bitcoin mania was just a gate way into the entrepreneurial world for me. It was like an open door with a ticking time bomb. There's just so much room for anything. Start a company. Build a product. Sell a service. Promote a start-up. It's a wave. A big wave.
The key there is just starting. Get to it. I'm thinking of starting a 1000 day challenge in which I record videos every day for 1000 days straight.I think it'll be interesting (We'll talk later).
I never even wrote about this company I'm the Co-founder of. Its a mobile application, coming out in fall. My buddy and I have been on this project since October, getting some traction finally. Alpha version is coming out this week. I'll link the website to preregister for the beta version.
I think blockchain development with this application could be huge. Not necessarily an ICO, but incorporation of a incentivized system. These systems are popping up left and right and may soon be the norm. College is an insanely awesome place to develop projects and get them instant use and feedback. It's like a giant survey via what companies and projects are successful and accepted as having value to humans.
I'll shill that company once things pick up on social media and feedback. I've got to admit, its pretty cool to make your own company. Its an accomplishment in a way, feels good to be doing something.
1000 day challenge
The 1000 day challenge is a testament to the delayed gratification model. Its a push to do something well everyday, and over time become proficient and change in a positive way. If you went to the gym everyday for 1000 days you'd see dramatic results. The challenge includes posting videos as I mentioned earlier. Each day I will be posting videos on youtube/dtube/dlive/ipbc network to talk crypto, innovation, interviews with friends and notables while focusing on the highest quality content possible. Stay tuned for my next articles for the links to my first videos.
These new dApps that pay you for contributing to the network are the future. I am incentivized to produce solid content to make money. This is going to happen to everyone. Twitch, for example is a streaming service where streamers can make large sums of money for # of views and subscribers. YouTube, while extremely similar, is less generous to content publishers in monetary terms. Twitch isn't even decentralized. It's still a huge hit.
No more
1000 days of life coming up. What to even expect? Life to this point has been a ride, just like holding crypto during times like these. "HODL" isn't a viable strategy, sorry. The HODL thing is irritating. If you HODL, you're on the right page because long term is the way to think about cryptocurrencies. But, you completely miss out on profitable moves both side of a trade. Shorting, is an extremely profitable way to make money in a bear market. But HODL, c'mon now thats ridiculous.
Being a bear right now feels good in the crypto markets. Lower prices = accumulate more crypto holdings. Increasing bags at a $3k BTC would be insane. Imagine the prices of alts then: $100 Ethereum, $50 Litecoin, $300 Bitcoin Cash etc. The list goes on. There is currently a huge sale in the crypto market. Whether there is further downward movement is a question of break of $6k or not. Regardless, crypto is cheap right now compared to the previous top. Alts are cheap, bitcoin is getting cheap, US stock market is getting frisky, precious metals in bullish channels and facebook getting sued. Its all a ploy, you didn't know that?
That's what to expect in the 1000 day video challenge^ and here's more below
Are you a part of the #herd? If you don't know what the #herd is, you're a part of the herd. Straight facts. This whole article as a matter of fact. That's the 1000 day challenge. This entire thing, and all these words are what is the foundation of the challenge. The challenge, is a way to start. Think free.
I'm trying to build a network and community here on steemit and I think we've got some steps to take to get there. I am looking to the future and I think it is bright for this platform. We need to produce consistent quality content to make this a great place. Good luck all!

I hope the next crypto pump will be huge and it's OK if it takes a year or two because that means I'll have a lot of time to buy and hold cryptos.
