- They didn’t want jobs
They are not professionals like lawyers, doctors etc. Most of them don’t even have a university degree or are school dropout. As a matter of fact, none of them would have been rich with a job. According to Robert Kiyosaki, the author of the Rich Dad Poor Dad, there are two ways to make money; other peoples time (OPT) and other peoples money (OPM). When you have a job, you get paid for selling your time but you can never be paid enough for the value of your time, little wonder why most employees can never be rich in its true sense.
Entrepreneurs learnt early in life about working smart. Working smart is about understanding how to leverage your time and your money to do more with less.
- They had Entrepreneurial/Investors Mindset
They decided early in life to become creators and provide something of value to the world. Steve Jobs may be gone today but his creations via Apple are still making impact in the world. They didn’t need jobs because they learnt how to create systems that work form. They adopted option two which is other peoples money (OPM) by making their money work for them, even while they are sleeping. An Entrepreneur creates value while an investor knows how to identify value.
- They Had a Sense of Purpose
They got there because they made a decision to be rich. They have a very big WHY they want to be rich. This could either be as a result of their traumatic experience in life hence they are driven and very passionate about their dream. This gives their wealth meaning and for them its about leaving their mark on the world.
- They Were Self Aware
Self awareness allows people to recognise what things they do best so they can then go hard on those aspects of their life. It also helps you accept your weakness.
- They Constantly Over Delivered
There is this stereotypical belief that entrepreneurs have to rip people off to succeed but on the contrary you expect them to be good and they are better. You expect them to give and give even more. The extent to which they over deliver is mind boggling.
Great idea...an eye opener
Thanks
