😳 Some people are all about themselves (just wait I need to take another selfie and post it)
😳 Some people are delusional eg they tell FB how people know things about them, like how real they are, when it’s clear to the rest of the world that’s not how they show up.
😳 Some people spend more time copying (and pasting) others than actually being themselves.
😳 Some people aren’t overly exciting... every post is about them, their family or their job/business.
Others however really nail it down:
🤗 They provide thoughtful introspection and in doing so show who they are
🤗 They provide value (if any of your posts ever get shared is one way to measure value)
🤗 They create connection
🤗 They are honest, real, and relatable and often use stories and humour.
🤗 They provide value. Oh yes I did say that. But it’s worth saying again. They give value to other humans by showcasing helpful information in some way or another.
Soooooo.... that being said... is SM your tool? Or are you the tool?
It’s a test and measure question really. If you are spending hours a day on SM and it’s not making you any money... it’s either time to upskill your SM skills (that would probably look like upskilling yourself)... or ... maybe ditch the SM for while and try another approach? Cue meeting people face to face, one-one phone convos etc
