Adjusted Philosophy 107: I CAN ONLY DO BUSINESS WITH SOMEONE THAT HAS A SHOP
This has always been an age-long philosophy of our forefathers who usually like to establish a physical existence to ascertain authenticity. But in this modern world it is time to ditch such obsolete philosophy, of course for obvious reasons.
A man rejected a suitor for his daughter for such reason above. We can only forgive him because he is an old man and was going by his old and archaic "due diligence" for the "interest" of his daughter. He said he found nothing wrong in the young man if not that he has no office/shop for business. He asked: "how can you take care of my daughter when you cannot even afford a shop for your so-called blogging business?" "I don't trust the source of your money. You can't just tell me you stay indoors at home pressing computer all days and make the money to take care of my daughter" he added.
Poor old man!
For just some decades ago he was absolutely correct. But today he found himself in a different world where things have gone digital. This is a digital world where the physical is struggling to survive. But the old dude is still clinging to a comatose world where people write letters and post at the post offices. A world where people are sent from the village to the city just to deliver an urgent oral message to the recipient.
Poor diligent old man!
Who dares to blame him? Their world was real and tangible! While the world that Steemians find themselves is a hoax, full of complexities, encryptions, and unfathomable ideas.
If I am asked to choose between these two worlds, surprisingly, my choice may be different from yours. Because I also can as well only do business with someone that has a shop.
