$10 Billion Egyptian Agricultural City in the Making!

In a cooperative movement to further harness the benefits of our natural environment, Egypt and South Korea have signed to construct a grandiose farming complex that implements new eco-technologies.

South Korea's Korea-Arab Society signed a cooperation protocol with Egypt on August 15th, and at a cost of only $10 billion. The brand new eco-city will be located in Northwest Egypt. It's an area well known for its salt pans and marshes, and is also located close to the Mediterranean shore. Furthermore, it's the second lowest land point in Africa as well as being in close proximity to the extremely fertile Nile Delta.

While the farming complex will be a whopping 311,400 acres in size, it's expected to be constructed within only 6 months. Egypt intends to provide the workers while South Korean experts will oversee the project. It will utilise the latest technologies in both agriculture and construction to ensure that the development is as environmentally friendly and efficient as possible. 

The city will contain 50,000 smart greenhouses, along with a multitude of solar power plants, seawater desalination plants, and fodder production facilities.

I'm incredibly excited to see whether other countries may be prompted to follow in Egypt's expanding environmental footprints. What countries do you think should implement similar facilities next?
