Krait,,,a dangerous snake
So a friend took this picture somewhere in Rawalpindi. I was utterly appalled when I saw those white rings on a black snake. It could only mean one thing, a Krait! I always thought kraits were found in the southern side of Pakistan but after asking multiple people about its identity, i couldn't be proven wrong by any herpetologist. I would urge everyone to stay a million miles away if one faces this snake because, my friends, it's not a cobra, it's something that's a 1000 times more venomous than an Indian cobra. Built to kill a healthy human being in 4 hours, one shouldn't even try to kill it unless they're trained to handle snakes. I would like if people could share this story and let everyone in the twin cities know and maybe have the government take action before this snake or God knows how many of its kind could hurt children around the twin cities.
"Less dangerous during day, Krait is many times more poisonous than Cobra or Viper. Its bite causes hemorrhage of capillaries and the victims feel violent abdominal pains. Breathing becomes difficult while paralysis sets in followed by death." (sic).
