Dapp Concept on EOS: Project Code 'Gouken' , Decentralized Community Infrastructure

**About Project : **

The intent of this project is to provide a platform built within the EOS ecosystem for the development, financing, design, construction and maintenance of real-world critical infrastructure systems (water, power, transportation).

Why might Project Gouken be a useful Dapp ?

With the advent of blockchain based digital currencies, the ability for local governments and organizations to gain access to open and transparent marketplace(s) for critical Engineering design, construction, commissioning and maintenance infrastructure solutions can provide an important tool to these organizations seeking to improve services to communities, while providing innovative project finance /payment solutions beyond traditional banking solutions.

In some cases, the infrastructure can be financed directly through transactional rights ownership of the infrastructure. In this case, users who expect to use the system (such as a road or bridge) may elect to support the project financially or technically, the project. In return for the support for materials, labor, financing, maintenance or design support, the market participants gain access to 'usage ownership' of the systems, which can also be leased or rented to end-users or customers. A specific percentage agreed upon by the community could also be set aside for grants to non-project organizations, or entities who need assistance to cover usage fees associated with the usage of the infrastructure o technology.

The success of market participants who gain ownership rights to the small fees associated with the use of the technology, is dependent on:

i. Demand (or need) for the product or system across large population
ii. Reliability of the product or system
iii: Small Reasonable fees to encourage frequent community usage
iv. Lifecycle maintenance sustainable model associated with system upkeep and upgrades
v. Government cooperation to establish this model

** Why would an engineer, vendor, insurer, financier be Interested in using this system to work on community projects ? **

i. A product or system in heavy demand may provide a ROI based on a transactional use model vs. a upfront lump sum model
ii. Possible 'transactional rights' which can be passed to family due to community contribution
iii. Impact on network reputation on products, worksmanship, expertise which can be the basis to build upon future projects
iv. Helps market participants self-regulate investments due to the risk taken on by participants (reputation, finance, time)
v. encourage new participants in community to assist in completion of projects for usage rights
