🚀 Ongoing EOS.IO MeetUp Challenge REMINDER - Open to Everyone [EOSBit Prizes Inside]

in #eos-meetups7 years ago

REMINDER: The EOS.IO MeetUp Challenge will continue for the next few weeks. We encourage everyone who is able to host a meetup to do so and earn some EOSBits, and for others to help us promote these challenges and meetups by sharing the links, ReSteeming these posts, and taking part in the supporting Tokens for Tweets challenges and earn some Whaleshares.

Recently we hosted a series of challenges to inspire everyone to either host an EOS.IO MeetUp or to create promotional materials for these meetups. We are now starting to get feedback from the first events taking place all around the world and want to reward people for their efforts.

What you are doing, everyone who is helping in these efforts, plays a very important part in spreading the word about the EOS.IO Software and the DApps being created with it. These are the first steps in inspiring a movement, and it is truly appreciated.

🌟 Your mission should you choose to accept it:

What are EOSBits?

EOSBits, like Beyondbits, started as a conversations in the BeyondBitcoin hangout series shortly after Steem was launched historically in those very hangouts. It began as "community tokens" or "tag coins". These cross-chain tokens give their holders the power to Summon a Whalevote to posts without having to pay for attention. And they are only given to people who Participate in Challenges, Win Contests and do other things of value for the community!

BeyondBit and EOSBits tokens are on BitShares! So make sure you have a BitShares/OpenLedger account to receive and send them for upvotes on your Steem posts!

👍 HOLD on to your EOSBits!

These powerful cross-chain tokens will be very valuable in the future once EOS.IO has launched and associated DApps are brought online. We encourage you to participate in as many challenges as you are capable of and save up your EOSBits!

Thank you for sharing your meetup with us. :-)

I am doing Meetups and meetings for a while. But the thing is when I do it it's on a road side restaurant because it's cheap and I just have to convey my message. So it's comfortable too. You are talking about proof. What types of proof are acceptable?? Like just the would be okay or I should provide something else??

I upvote my comment so that you read it and give me reply. Because I have to go for steemit promotion so I only have 20 Mins to reach there :)

i found your comment either way so no worries!

Now with that said, if you read the post you will see that the answer is in there! not reading the post only harms you!!! But i'll grab it and post it here...

but please remember i'm not trying to be an asshole here...but you guys need to read and pay attention or you only hurt yourselves! :(

Basically I don't know about EOS.IO I just promote steemit in my country. So that more people can avail this opportunity. Because here in my country people are going through some rough times.

And I read that. But I didn't understand the part where you stated that event should be yours. Because what I do here just gather some people some newbies and some who don't know anything about steemit. There I guide newbies and tell them about the steemit. That's it.

Hello everyone, we just concluded our first EOS.IO Meetup. The event was done in the STeem Accelerator Hub, STACH 2 in Uyo Nigeria and you can see the proof of meetup by clicking the link below. https://steemit.com/eos-meetups/@ejemai/eos-io-meetup-challenge-1st-eos-meetup-at-the-steem-acclerator-hub-2-uyo-hosted-by-samstickkz

Thank you @ejemai for holding an EOSTalk Meetup and sharing your experience with everyone!

This is an excellent initiative @officialfuzzy! I think that Eos has some excellent potential for the future and that its unique features (such as web assembly) will make it stand out even more in the future.

I work full time in cryptocurrencies between ICO consulting, online course creation, blogging and I have co-founded a tech start-up. I was recently at a blockchain conference, and was talking to some solidity developers who were extremely enthusiastic about EOS. I don't know if they would be interested in an EOS meetup, but I'll definitely be talking about it a lot at the conferences that I attend.

Thanks for sharing this, I would really appreciate any feedback you have on my posts.

This is interesting. So I assume the EOS tokens can you held in Meta Mask or something similar?

I will do something more research. This could be very valuable in the future.

Thanks for sharing, upvoted!

YES, they are ERC-20 Tokens at the moment.
I have 2 tutorials on this here.

This is awesome @officialfuzzy, thanks for putting this together.

Great one sir...
Surely gonna try and tap into this..
The Eos Meet-up challenge is really ingenious.
Great one sir

This is a good way of inspiring people to create awareness for steemit and other like mind projects. Ill surely be up for this.

Reblogged.
Is there a meetup list somewhere?
Thanks J

wow an opportunity to earn EOSbits. I am definitely organising a meet up soon. Please, what's the minimum number of attendance to qualify for rewards

no minimum but bonus rewards will be given to highly successful events that can prove it ;)
