EcoBall TestNet “Horizon” is Coming Soon
1. What is EcoBall?
EcoBall is a new, open and compatible blockchain operating system. It uses innovative technologies such as domain and shards technology, distributed storage technology, flexible cross-chain mechanism, and one-click chain generation to achieve the world’s first big Blockchain basic public chain for commercialization and industry-level applications.
On the one hand, EcoBall greatly improves throughput by using domain and shards technology. Firstly, based on the combining consensus algorithm of ABABFT+VRF+DKG and applying of shards technology, EcoBall can achieve the shards of network, transaction, computing, and status, which greatly improve the transaction speed. Secondly, EcoBall has realized the domain based on shards (multi-chain parallel and each public chain is set as one domain), to make sure that every domain has its unique logical space and shards technology to solve the current blockchain efficiency problem. On the other hand, EcoBall supports decentralized storage network that effectively solved the problem of insufficient storage space on the blockchain system platform.
2. EcoBall TestNet “Horizon” is Coming Soon!
According to the original roadmap, the EcoBall test network “Horizon” was scheduled to release at the end of December 2018. With the high efficiency and efforts of all the members of the EcoBall project team, the test network is expected to be rolled out in mid- November 2018 . This marks another important technical milestone for EcoBall, a big step forward for the official network launching!
EcoBall will launch a series of functions in the test network, providing a friendly development environment for developers and allowing developers to test smart contract applications on the test network. Specific functions include:
(1)Enquire block packaging information, include packaging time, transaction numbers, validator etc. to realize the transparency of the trading information.
(2)Provide online wallet function, include create new wallet account, log in wallet account, add wallet, remove wallet, check wallet balance, online transfer and etc. as one-stop service of the management of wallet.
(3)Create new account, and enquire account name and creation time to quickly understand account details in the whole network.
(4)Online compiling smart contract and fast generation of exclusive DAPP.
(5)Provide decentralized storage service that is able to upload files, check files and execute operations such as delete, download, and share and copy hash etc.
