EOS Acknowledgments - Who Will Go in the Genesis Block?
Who would you like to see recognized for their contributions to the EOS blockchain launch?
Nominate key contributors in an open, public discussion on Telegram. The community will offer a finished “Credits & Acknowledgments” text file to the EOS.IO development team for possible inclusion in the planned “version 1.0” source code release and/or in the EOS genesis block.
FAQ
What is the process?
A public Telegram chat session starting Tuesday, May 8th 2018 in which nominations are offered, discussed, and confirmed. Open nominations will end two weeks later on May 21st.
Please join the discussion on Telegram at: t.me/EOSAcknowledgments
What are the criteria for nominations?
People who have made visible and important contributions to the planned EOSIO June 2018 launch. Examples include but are not limited to: code, documentation, theoretical work, web or wiki pages, substantial chat logs, google docs, images, video/audio content, articles.
There is no past-date cut-off for nomination.
Only individual people or well-known pseudonyms can be nominated, not organizations.
Self-nominations are not allowed.
Who can offer nominations and how are nominations vetted?
- Any member of the EOS community can offer nominations. Vetting will be through an open, informal consensus process within the Telegram chat. Someone offers a nomination, at least a couple other people agree with it, and then it's open discussion about the nature & scope of the nominee's contributions, and what section(s) of the Credits / Acknowledgments list they should be under.
Every 24 to 36 hours or so, the List Maintainer will go through the chat logs and extract the consensus nominees, adding them to the nominee list. Please check the nominee list before you nominate. The people you have in mind might already be listed.
Where is the current list of nominees, and who maintains it?
The current list is here: view document.
The list is maintained by the List Maintainer Team. (Currently EOS Go, but others may be added to the Team later.)
What if someone is nominated but doesn’t want to be on the list under their full legal name, or on the list at all?
Nominees can request to be removed, to have their names shortened to first-name / last initial, or to use a recognized pseudonym with which they have previously been associated. Please contact the List Maintainers on Telegram, or at: [email protected]
What about nominations from non-English-speaking EOS communities?
Subject to community approval, as Acknowledgments List Maintainers we will work with selected, recognized international EOS forums to add other community-vetted nominations to the list.
What if I can’t access Telegram chats?
Please join & comment on the forum-post EOS Acknowledgments Thread at EOS Go Forums. (Note: Telegram chat is the preferred medium, please use this fall-back only if Telegram is not available to you.)
Who chose EOS Go to be on the List Maintainer Team?
EOS Go was nominated & seconded by other EOS community members. We’re open to additional people joining the Acknowledgments List Maintainer team, subject to further community nomination & approval.
Here's the original proposal on which this process is based. The proposal was extensively vetted & revised in EOS.IO Gov telegram chat over the past few weeks.

Thanks to Sam S. for helping to launch the EOS Acknowledgments initiative.
Who should be named in the Genesis Block!? Everyone who bought on day zero of the ICO.
And didn't sell but kept their tokens until the launch maybe...
Go EOS ! Sounds great idea :)
This is a good initiative.
Many people are working diligently to make the EOS launch a success.
It's only fair to recognize their efforts.
Great idea. Recognize the talent
