EOS Block Producer Candidacy: ChainPool

Hello there, we’re ChainPool, the first Chinese PoS mining pool aiming to contribute continuously to the growth of the EOS ecosystem. We’d like to introduce ourselves and show you what we have planned to be a block producer.

Our main goal is to disseminate the societal benefits EOS brings through on-going education, the sharing of knowledge and resources, community engagement, and the creation of projects. We believe this to be the most fruitful way to foster a growing EOS community and the adoption of this new technology.

The following content is based on EOS Go's six community-reviewed "Checkmark Criteria".

Estimated scaling plan for hardware after June 3, 2018

Initially, we are planning to have a primary and a backup machine as main producing units and are looking for more effective ways of power supplies to minimize the loses. Our hardware spec listed below is subject to change based on Block.One and feedback from the community:

• CPU: Intel Xeon E7 8880 v3 (18core) * 4 = 72 cores
• RAM: 1- 4 TB
• Storage: 100+ TB
• Network: 25 Gbps
• Nodes: 1 livenet and 1 standby

Offline Technical Seminar

Being a BP will be much more than merely running a server producing blocks. A qualified BP oughts to be able to handle everything in the early stage, including sharing the knowledge and insight of EOS with community.

So far, chainpool has arranged/participated in several high-quality technically offline seminar, which have brought heated discussions regarding to the development of EOS ecology in the community.

• On March 14th, 2018, we had a technical seminar dedicated to the upcoming EOS launch with dozens of senior managers and technologist from Alibaba, the world's largest and most valuable retailer, in Xixi Campus.
