RE: Platforms switching over to EOS

in #eos6 years ago

As far as I can tell Medipedia haven't actually got a token on Ethereum yet - They were just planning to put one there. It seems to me the announcement was just a PR thing. Havven is coming onto the EOS chain BUT it's staying on the Ethereum chain too. They are airdropping tokens not to EOS holders but Havven holders . Thanks for that Havven :P

Indeed, despite all the animosities between communities, there seem to be growing interconnections between eth and eos, just like scatter supports both networks...

Scatter supports Ethereum too? I didn't know that.

I don't understand why the different communities fight. As far as I am concerned the crypto world should all bunch together as we will live and die together. The only problem I see is Bitcoin - it is swallowing up all the market (over 50% now). If the other cryptos go down then all that will be left is this ageing prototype chugging along with no real world application. The whole sector will be dead except for maybe Ripple (not the public XRP part) and Hedera Hashgraph (who already signed up connecting all the credit unions in the US).

As for scatter, yes they do, but not sure if any dapp supports it...
Sure it would be good if communities all collaborated, but then different coins have emerged for a reason. I have been a big fan of eth for quite a while, and when they said the next fork would be mid 2018, it sounded like far away, and now any progress is delayed to 2020 that's just too long in crypto standards, and i feel that's what fuels the heat on both sides, those who are dissatisfied with broken promises like myself and looked for alternatives, and those who still believe in eth promises despite the strong headwinds palpable from any direction now, and who want to stick to their decision. In fact eos now has in its short term of existence broken so many of its promises, I fear it could enter an Ethereum like state earlier than expected....

I think every ecosystem is going to have positives and negatives. I am hanging onto EOS for the simple reason that mainstreet finance is moving in and they will be trying to force some sort of consolidation. It is my belief that only projects with the largest warchests or backing will survive. It happened in Internet 1.0 and 2.0 so 3.0 will almost certainly be a bloodbath. With the warchest they have EOS/Block One will be a survivor. It may not be the best but it will survive.

Very valid thoughts my friend!
