EOSHackathon Sydney. Block. One's agenda for the future of humanity

in #eoshackathon6 years ago

Just a quick summary of a great #EOSHackathon in Sydney!

#EOS is continuing their travels around the world with hackathons in Honk Kong and Sydney so far. Sydney hackathon gathered more than 200 teams. If the Honk Kong mission was to try and solve centralization with teams identifying centralized business models ready for disruption, Sydney has had an even bigger issue - Environment.

The finalists reflects a great community #EOS already has behind it, the pitches and working prototypes produced in 2 days looked great and all were tackling really big issues. The top 10 could've been all winners and I am sure everyone will develop the ideas to full fruition. I would suggest everyone to watch the final to make up your mind of who is the real winner here.

Dan Larimer and Block. One is heading full steam ahead braking records in blockchain landscape at the same time fulfilling the promise to change the world. I am glad to see the project tackling the real issues as well as supporting the growth of the community.

I have over 15 years experience in corporate events and when I saw the amount of work and the quality of the Sydney hackathon I had to think for a second as I know how much something like this costs. So before someone says wouldn't the money be better spent on something else?I would like to say NO. I had this question in my head for about 5 seconds and doing something this big and in this fashion brings #EOS to the forefront of the blockchain space. People can see that this is not at the fringes anymore this is where the world is moving to and we can change the world to a better place when the money supply is in the right hands.

Decentralized, transparent, fair, community driven, disruptive in ways we can't predict yet - love it!

Thanks for the read! Hope you have a spare hour for the video and let me know your thoughts about it!
