Introduction to Essential Oils
I’m always looking for the best most cost-effective ways to help my family be healthier. I find essential oils assist growing healthy bodies and minds.
What are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are pure extracts from plants which have been found to be 50 to 70 times more powerful than the plant themselves. Example: 1 drop of peppermint essential oil = 28 cups of peppermint tea. Essential oils, when used correctly are safe with no side effects.
Where do we source essential oils?
Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade (CPTG) is pure organic plant produced essential oils only. Make sure you buy only those free from fillers, pesticides, solvents and additives.
How do essential oils help us?
Essential oils can pass through the cell membranes and therefore work with the body to address issues and root causes on a cellular level. They have a wide range of emotional and physical wellness applications. When inhaled, it takes 20 seconds to envelope the whole brain and 20 minutes to “bath” the entire body’s cells in the oil.
How do we use essential oils?
There are 3 ways to use essential oils
- Aromatically: diffuse or inhale to help with mood, memory and airways.
- Internally: drink or encapsulate to assist with the digestive system, mouth throat and organs.
- Topically: apply to the skin or massage for immediate effect.
What are my Top 3 essential oils?
- Lavender: I use 4 drops in a detox bath for calming and relaxing.
- Tea Tree: I dilute this potent essential oil with a carrier oil and apply it to wounds. It has antibacterial and antiviral properties, making it the perfect immune booster.
