REMEMBERING NELSON MANDELA / PART OF HIS LEGACY.

Hello! Greetings to all those people who live in this great platform as it is Steemit.

On the occasion of having celebrated the International Day of Nelson Mandela this July 18, walking a bit through some networks read some of his phrases that were part of his legacy and are still remembered for the present generation. Phrases that have traveled the world and that emerged from the critical and reflective thinking of leaders who marked history as did Nelson Mandela (1918-2013).

I am one of those who consider that all those who by God's will come to this earth, we should leave traces in the society with which we are remembered and recognized. Fruits of that purpose fulfilled of the years that we travel in life. Undoubtedly many world leaders have left their contribution, have received a visible position in the history of humanity, now we will depend on the quality of it, whether for good or for bad.

Each of these characters has taken advantage of their time, their time, their season and the opportunities that came to hand. Making known in spite of prejudice their thinking, ideals and criteria, making use of that so-called freedom to which we all have the right. Although Nelson Mandela did not enjoy a scenario full of freedoms, his voice was heard in the whole world.

One of his phrases that caught my attention was precisely this:

As I walked out the door to my freedom, I knew that if I did not leave behind all the anger, hatred and resentment, I would still be a prisoner. Nelson Mandela.

I consider that this man learned a principle of freedom, because despite the years he was imprisoned, perhaps for unjustified reasons because he defended human rights, he understood that freedom is not experienced or experienced in the physical plane only but it is about something that is also spiritual, internal and both complement each other. It would be useless to go to a physical space, free and open if your mind and heart were to be prisoners of bad memories, disappointments, hatred and resentment, everything was there in the past. That is why it recovers sense and value that there can be no transformation without a change of mentalityand it was precisely those experiences that he went through that allowed him to reach these conclusions, thoughts that he made known to the world after of having turned them into a life experience.

I'll add one more ...

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave is not the one who does not feel fear, but the one who conquers that fear. Nelson Mandela.

And he showed it with his deeds ... How many times do we shut up out of fear? We do not want to say what we think, what we believe, what seems contrary to the rest, precisely because of fear of rejection or of the consequences that may arise. However we see the example of Nelson Mandela, overcoming his fears, facing a blind society by certain criteria, then shining as brave, making a difference because he was not persuaded by force and throughout the process we see him conquer spaces, hearts and victories, becoming even President of his nation. Who would have thought? that after walking dark episodes the dream opportunities would come for him. He was brave, he did not allow himself to be overcome by fear, but he confronted him and conquered his own fears.

Everything that is considered good is worthy of imitation, so let's consider its example, its life and take part of its history as an enriching and rewarding experience for each one of us today.
