DENDENG BALADO
Jerky is a thin slice of dried meat that is often used as a main ingredient in Indonesian cuisine. Dendeng originally found by the Minangkabau community. In the beginning they made a dish of beef and made it dry so it could be eaten for days and taken away while traveling.
Dendeng Balado is the most popular jerky dish in Indonesia. This dish is also called the Dendeng Batokok and is made from thin cut beef then dried and fried before it is added with chilies and other ingredients called Balado.
