The longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere of the Planet Earth. It's not only the longest day, it's also the first day of the summer (astronomical). On June 21 is the summer solstice. From now on, the day will shrink until it becomes equal to the night at the autumn equinox.
It is also the day of the sun! We have to think a little to the sun. Although I am an admirer of the moon, I must recognize the total importance of the sun in the existence of life on Earth.

Summer was my favorite season
Summer was my favorite season. Until a few years ago when the effects of global warming began to feel. Unfortunately, the increasing temperatures in the middle of the summer almost kill me. There is no summer like in my childhood when I was out in the middle of nature all day without feeling the sun's heat. Now I have to hide from the rays of the sun!

Apart from all these troubles summer is the season of holidays and remains the most expected season because of this (by me, at least). Because for me it's not a vacation if it's not at sea! That's why I'm ready to support the excessive heat of the sun.
Memories come on me. Last summer in Greece. Thassos Island!
