Hi Everyone!
My name is Dison
and today i'll try my best to explain the difference between HDR vs SDR.
image
Probably may you guys already know about it but I thinks its really an interesting topic to discuss.
So lets get started.

Explanation

HDR stands for High Dynamic Range.
which means your image will be more vibrant and clear as compared to SDR.
Colors are more rich and image is beautiful and delightful visuals.

On the other hand, SDR stands for Standard Dynamic Range.
Its the standard of our screens now a day.
Picture quality is standard and comparatively less attractive than HDR.

Comparison

The comparison between HDR & SDR with photos

The above photos are taken by same Device with HDR ON(First) and HDR OFF(Second).
The Device I use is my Smartphone
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4(Snap Dragon)/4X
with Front facing shooter 5 Megapixels
and the Results are clear, you can clearly identify the Difference between the two pictures.

How it works

As everyone know that A camera Performance is best at some ideal scenes, such as this picture
image
the light balance is accurate and colors are attractive if camera got sufficient amout of light.
Thats How works SDR.

However HDR is used for those occasions when we don't have a balance light scenes.
In this way camera takes 3 different photos with different exposure settings( Low & Normal & High ) then a single image is created by combining the best part of each photo taken by the camera.
So thats how HDR works.

As for benifits HDR also have limitations too.
Your camera should be still during shooting otherwise picture will be blured.
As HDR is pretty Handy in low light scenarios but it also Increases the Nouse in the Picture and than sharpens it too that makes picture even worst.

HDR amd SDR have Pros and Cons but today we are living in the age of technology and its improving drastically.
Standard monitors are now replaced by HDR Displays and its not even a decade since we used them.
Mobal Devices now comes with HDR implementation built-in and now a new form of HDR+ is formed with a record braking low light photography.
