Zombie Mode: Back from Hiatus

Hello Steemit Friends!

I'm back.

I don’t know about you guys but I felt like I came back from the dead. What’s up, guys? This is Mel from The Pearl of the Orient Seas or the beautiful country of the Philippines. 6 months ago was the last time I updated my Steemit blog and stopped blogging ever since then. My last posts were crappy because I was losing the drive to update. I know nobody really cares about my thoughts on this platform because I am no expert on cryptos and such but, I still love Steemit because of the following reasons:

1. Steemit is free and user-friendly

For a non-pro like me who don’t have the money to actually buy a website or pay someone to create a website for me, Steemit is the best bet to a free blogging platform. It has all the things a normal, free WordPress blog looks like but has more freebies. One of the freebies (if you want the technical side) is that it has a superb Google algorithm that’s why if you put on the right keywords for your title and post, there’s a high chance your blog will be on the top of the list. Take, for example, one of my favorite Filipino Steemian @enjieneer got the chance to be featured on a popular show in our country because the program researchers found her blog. And how did they discover that she wrote about what they’re featuring in that episode? Simple, it is because of Steemit’s superb Google algorithm.

Moreover, what I like about Steemit is because of the user-friendly interface. Just like how famous social media platforms like Facebook are, Steemit has a clean and neat look that all the buttons are functional and easy to use. I have used Wordpress and Blogspot but I think Steemit still tops the bill. The only downer I saw is that outsiders can’t comment on a blog post. They need to log in to their Steemit account or create one if they don’t have an account, for them to comment. Minus, that little bump everything is well.

2. Steemit has a great community

Steemians are happy and lively people! I know not everyone can agree to this because you might have encountered A LOT of people who are rude, know-it-all, arrogant, scammers or even posers but, trust me; they are only about 20% of the Steemian population. If you join some groups there are actually nice people who are willing to give you a helping hand. I am truly blessed to find people here who are truly inspiring both in the virtual and real world. You get to explore different communities with different missions like education, health care and, of course, cryptocurrencies. I have learned so much about cryptos from different groups on Steemit. This is where my exploration of the virtual currency began. I still consider myself a noob because I am literally one but I like the journey and connections I have made.

To be honest, I stopped exploring the crypto world some time ago but now I am again trying to gain knowledge on how to invest in the crypto. Also, I love to read more about parenting, food recipes, art, photography and hobbies. If you’re reading this and you have a hobby to share with me then please do send the link at the comment section. I would love to read your post about it!

3. Steemit is an outlet to just let your thoughts and feelings run wild

Well, for me it is. I am no expert on anything but what is true for me is that Steemit is like a journal. It is therapeutic to simply write something about your life. You can be inspiring, you can be inspired, you can write what you want to write in a poetic way and you can be a better person by simply writing your problems, reflecting and come up with a solution. I don’t know; I am blabbering. But Steemit is like an open diary, a portfolio to how great you write or simply a blog for your shenanigans. What is true is that Steemit can be beyond a place where people talk about technicalities and games. Steemit is an outlet to just let your thoughts and feelings run wild... but no violent or rude or vulgar words please (unless really needed).

This is where I end my chatter-hands. So... Hi?

*PS. Apologies for the wrong spelling or grammar. This is free writing at its best.

*PPS. If you have an active group that accepts Zombie members (AKA Back-from-hiatus) then let me know please? TIA! ❤
