These are some nice tips! Thanks for sharing this - I am also a fitness/health aficionado. A few other tips that I would add are:

  1. try to maintain your hydration levels (up to a gallon of water a day, spaced out))

and 2) get your metabolism revved up early in the day, with a wholesome meal at least some time in the morning, and avoid "spiking" your caloric intake all at once
