China condemns fighting in Myanmar between Myanmar government troops and ethnic militants, near the Chinese border that has led people to flee to China.

Myanmar's military often clashed with groups claiming they were fighting for greater autonomy for the ethnic minorities in the region, which Myanmar's foreign trade is flowing.
The Myanmar government said on Saturday, ethnic rebels in Myanmar killed 19 people, including four members of the security forces, in a major attack near the main border gate with China.

A total of 14 people, including two women, were killed and 20 wounded, a government spokesman said.
The National Liberation Army of Ta'ang (TNLA), a member of the fighters of the Ta'ang and Palaung ethnic groups, said the group had attacked a kasion that runs people from militia and a Myanmar army post on the outskirts of the Muse border, several hundred meters from a river separating Shan state in northern Myanmar and Yunnan Province, China.

The Chinese embassy in Myanmar said in a statement that the conflict had resulted in bullets fired into Chinese territory, as well as a number of people displaced.
"The Chinese embassy in Myanmar condemns the incident, and pityed the wounded innocent," the embassy said in a statement, adding that it had submitted a memorandum to the Myanmar government.

China called on all parties to exercise restraint, enforce a ceasefire, and prevent the situation from escalating, as well as restore peace to the China-Myanmar border region.
