My Problematic Addiction

Whatever your addiction may be - drugs, alcohol, tobacco, pain medicine, sex, porn, lying, shopping, gambling, hoarding, power (authority), or internet - the experts always say that the first step in overcoming it is acceptance. Admitting you have an addiction is a big first step.

So today, I am admitting I have a huge caffeine addiction. It may not be as bad as the ones I mentioned above, but it is an addiction nonetheless. I'd get throbbing headaches when I miss my usual cup of coffee in the morning. At one point in my life, I had to have at least 3 cups of coffee to get me through the day.

Now I am limiting myself to just 1 cup every other morning, and I just take decaf on other days.

If you're reading this and you are battling an addiction and it is ruining your relationships with people who care most about you, maybe it is high time to take that giant first step.

God bless and good luck.

Hey jazzy, It's good that you finally come into an acceptance. But, coffee addiction is something that I keep, since it's cheaper than my other addictions 😅. I resonate with you that if, the addiction is affecting your life and relationship, something needs to be done.

Good luck!
you can also switch in between other beverages to kick off the addiction.

hi macc! yes coffee addiction is defnitely much cheaper than others.. but not for those who get them from starbucks every day. haha. i go for the cheap instant packets. :p

It sounds cute but caffeine is a bitch of an addiction to get over. Good luck to you!
