Ich habe für euch mehrere Wochen lang die neue Version der Android sowie Windows App von "eSteem" getestet und werde euch darüber berichten.
Die alte Version habe ich nicht getestet. Da die nicht wirklich Zeitgemäß aussieht.
Der Anfang
Der Anfang war relativ einfach, ich habe vom User "@good-karma" einen Beitrag gefunden, indem er die neue Version von eSteem vorstellt.
Da wurde ich aufmerksam und habe mir die Android App sowie die Windows App runtergeladen.
Die Installation war einfach:
Installieren, anmelden (mit Steemconnect) und fertig.
Der erste Eindruck war auch echt toll.
Man sieht auf dem ersten Blick eine schnelle und aufgeräumte App, mit einer tollen Bedienung.
Leider muss man hier sagen, dass der erste Eindruck ein bisschen trügt.
Gelegentlich hat sich die App aufgehängt oder hatte auf einmal keine Verbindung mehr gefunden, obwohl Partiko eine hatte.
Android App (eSteem Mobile)
Also zuerst muss gesagt werden, dass die neue Version der App echt gut aussieht.
Sie sieht aus wie eine App 2019 auszusehen hat.
Viele Funktionen sind gut ausgearbeitet und da haben sich die Entwickler auch viel Mühe dabei gegeben.
Aber dann kommen wieder Funktionen oder Einstellungen, die einfach "lieblos" hin geklatscht oder Funktionen einfach schnell zusammengeschustert wurden.
Leider findet man sehr oft solche Funktionen.
Die Benachrichtigungen funktionieren alle, es kommt alles an, nur hin und wieder hatte ich eine Verzögerung, aber das ist jetzt nichts großes gewesen.
Leider muss man da auch sagen, dass es kein Icon in den Benachrichtigungen gibt. Die App hat nur einen weißen Fleck in der Benachrichtigungszeile.
Auch stört mich, dass man Benachrichtigungen von Sachen bekommt, die man selber gemacht hat.
Leider sind diese auch nicht in einen "Balken" geordnet.
Die Benachrichtigungen werden einfach so rein geschmissen und dann muss man mehrere löschen, das ist leicht nervig.
Der Akkuverbrauch hat sich bei mir nicht weiter gesteigert.
Die App ist sehr Sparsam, was den Stromverbrauch angeht.
Am Anfang wird man von der App aufgefordert einen PIN zu hinterlegen.
Diese Möglichkeit zur Absicherung der App finde ich sehr praktisch und auch sehr wichtig.
Danach wird man auf das Feed gesetzt, ab hier kennt man alles ja schon.
Die Buttons sind schön umgesetzt. Durch das Design bekommt man beim druck auf die Buttons gutes Feedback zurück und so macht es auch Spaß.
Leider sind viele Elemente nicht anklickbar, wie die Usernamen bei einem geresteemtem Beitrag und sonstige kleine Felder, die man nicht anklicken kann.
Das finde ich sehr schade.
Die App kann aber mit ein paar guten Funktionen punkten, und das sind die, wo ich meine, dass einige mit Liebe zum Detail erstellt wurden und andere nur hin geklatscht wurden.
Wenn man ein Upvote geben will kommt ein kleines Fenster, welches sehr schön gemacht ist.
In diesem kann man auswählen, wie viel Prozent der Upvote an Wert hat.
Hier zeigt eSteem einen sehr genauen Wert an.
Auch der Editor konnte überzeugen.
Er bietet sehr viele Möglichkeiten der Textgestaltung.
Also die App kann man so beschreiben:
Sie ist gut, aber irgendwie sind wichtige Funktionen, sowie die Freiheit, dass ich überall hin klicken kann und alles anklicken kann, ist oft nicht gegeben.
Die App enthält viele Funktionen, auch viele sind gut Programmiert und umgesetzt aber es gibt immer noch viele Funktionen und kleine Fehler in der App, die den schönen Moment dann aufhalten wollen. Auch die Abstürzte und die Ruckler beim Scrollen in der App waren in letzter Zeit etwas nervig.
Als Fazit für die App kann ich sagen:
Sie ist gelungen. Hat aber noch viele Fehler, diese hoffentlich der Vergangenheit angehören werden, aber sie ist benutzbar und macht einen echt guten Einblick und auch einen schönen.
Die Bedienung ist gut und das Feedback, dass man bei den bewegenden Buttons zurück bekomme ist auch vorhanden.
Ich kann euch nur empfehlen die App zu testen.
Sie ist derzeit noch in der BETA(?) und wird ständig weiterentwickelt.
Windows App (eSteem Surfer)
Ach der eSteem Surfer - mein erster Eindruck war: "Wow, endlich eine schöne App für Windows mit Benachrichtigungen?"
Dann sind meine Erwartungen etwas runtergefallen - WARUM SPIELT DAS PROGRAMM NICHT MIT DEN WINDOWS BENACHRICHTIGUNGEN???
Das ist so schade.. Es wäre so eine schöne "App" für Windows geworden.
Um es ganz einfach zu sagen:
Leider handelt es sich nur um ein einfaches Programm, welches wahrscheinlich auf electronjs gebaut wurde.
Naja Benachrichtigungen für Windows gibt es leider keine.
Man hat rechts in der Ecke eine Glocke, wenn man auf die Glocke drückt, bekommt man dann die Benachrichtigungen angezeigt.
Neben der Glocke befindet sich auch noch das Wallet, das sieht echt schön aus.
Aber soweit ist das Design der Windows "App" auch sehr gut aufgebaut.
Man findet sich sehr schnell zurecht und kann gut damit Arbeiten.
Auch der Editor konnte punkten
Leider ist die Preview für die Tonne.
Die Formatierungen passen vorne und hinten nicht.
Ich habe mehrere Beiträge mit der eSteem App geschrieben und jedes mal sah die Preview in der App wunderschön aus. Aber in anderen Font-Ends (wie Steemit) kam dann nur noch ein Wörtersalat oder Formatierungssalat raus.
Das geht besser...
Dafür ist die Anzahl an Emojis gut und es macht, durch den eigentlich einfachen und schönen Editor echt Spaß damit Texte zu schreiben.
Was mich auch gestört hat, waren die Payout Infos unter den Beiträgen.
Diese werden einfach nur in der ausgewählten Währung angezeigt.
Ist durchaus sehr schön, aber ich würde schon gerne wissen, wie viel SP oder Steem das dann doch sind.
Auch die Windows App hat einen sehr schönen Regler bei den Upvotes, obwohl ich sagen muss, dass dieser doch relativ unschön zu bedienen war.
Wenn man dann mit dem Mauszeiger mal aus dem Fenster kommt, verschwindet der Regler direkt und setzt sich zurück.
Aber wenn man davor 20% gegeben hat und zu schnell auf Upvote drückt, gibt man dem nächsten Beitrag auch 20%, obwohl man eigentlich 100% geben wollte.
Was auch sehr positiv ist, es gibt einen Dark Theme.
Das Gesamtbild vom eSteeam Surfer sieht schon sehr gut aus und natürlich kann er auch was.
Derzeit ist er aber beim Editor noch etwas komisch.
Also ich werde ihn weiterhin verwenden, den Editor nicht, aber das Programm macht durchaus einen sehr soliden Eindruck und kann auch was.
Fazit
Ich habe die Android und die Windows App getestet und bin durchaus überwältigt.
Es ist eine solide App und sie kann auch was.
Es gibt natürlich noch ein paar Stellen und Funktionen die man besser machen kann, aber im Großen und Ganzen kann man ein Lob an die Entwickler aussprechen, denn da steckt bestimmt sehr viel Arbeit drinnen.
Was auch noch wichtig zu wissen ist, was man leider nicht auf der eSteem Webseite findet, dass die App sich noch als "beneficiaries" einträgt.
Finde ich jetzt nicht so gut, dass man hier nicht mit offenen Karten spielt.
Aber im Großen und Ganzen bin ich richtig zufrieden mit beiden Apps.
Die Grundsysteme funktionierten und das sogar recht gut.
Natürlich muss auch hier gesagt werden, dass ihr die Apps selber testen solltet und euch selber ein Bild davon machen sollt.
Ich hoffe mein "kleiner" Bericht über die App eSteem hat euch gefallen.

The beginning
The beginning was relatively simple, I found a contribution from the user "@good-karma" by introducing the new version of eSteem.
There I became attentive and downloaded the Android App and the Windows App.
The installation was easy:
Install, login (with Steemconnect) and you're done.
The first impression was really great.
At first sight you can see a fast and tidy app with a great handling.
Unfortunately you have to say that the first impression is a bit deceptive.
Occasionally the app hung up or suddenly couldn't find a connection, although Partiko had one.
Android App (eSteem Mobile)
So first it has to be said that the new version of the app looks really good.
It looks like an App 2019 has to look like.
Many features are well worked out and the developers have put a lot of effort into it.
But then there are features or settings that were just clapped "lovelessly" or features that were just quickly cobbled together.
Unfortunately you often find such functions.
The notifications all work, everything arrives, only now and then I had a delay, but that hasn't been much now.
Unfortunately you have to say that there is no icon in the notifications. The app only has a white spot in the notification line.
It also bothers me that you get notifications of things you did yourself.
Unfortunately these are not arranged in a "bar".
The notifications are simply thrown in and then you have to delete several, which is slightly annoying.
The battery consumption did not increase with me further.
The app is very economical in terms of power consumption.
At the beginning, the app asks you to enter a PIN.
I find this possibility to secure the app very practical and also very important.
After that you are put on the feed, from here on you already know everything.
The buttons are nicely implemented. The design gives you good feedback when you press the buttons, so it's fun.
Unfortunately, many elements are not clickable, such as the usernames for a reseted post and other small fields that can not be clicked.
I think that's a pity.
But the app can score with some good features, and these are the ones where I think some were created with attention to detail and others just clapped.
If you want to give an upvote, there comes a small window, which is very nicely made.
In this window you can choose the percentage of value the upvote has.
Here eSteem shows a very exact value.
The editor was also convincing.
It offers many possibilities for text design.
So the app can be described like this:
It is good, but somehow there are important functions, as well as the freedom that I can click anywhere and everything is often not given.
The app contains a lot of functions, also many are well programmed and implemented, but there are still many functions and small bugs in the app that want to stop the nice moment. Also the crashes and the jerkers while scrolling in the app have been a bit annoying lately.
As a conclusion for the app I can say:
It has succeeded. But it still has a lot of bugs, which will hopefully be a thing of the past, but it is usable and gives a really good insight and also a nice one.
The handling is good and the feedback you get back with the moving buttons is also there.
I can only recommend you to test the app.
It is currently still in the BETA(?) and is constantly being further developed.
Windows App (eSteem Surfer)
Oh, the eSteem surfer - my first impression was: "Wow, finally a nice app for Windows with notifications?"
Then my expectations dropped a bit - WHY DOES THE PROGRAM NOT PLAY WITH THE WINDOWS AWARENESS??
That is so unfortunate... It would have been such a nice "app" for Windows.
To put it simply:
Unfortunately it is only a simple program, which was probably built on electronjs.
Well, there are no notifications for Windows.
You have a bell in the right corner, if you press the bell you get the notifications.
Beside the bell there is also the wallet, that looks really nice.
But so far the design of the Windows "App" is also very well built.
You find your way around very quickly and can work well with it.
The editor also scored well
Unfortunately, the preview is for the barrel.
The formatting doesn't fit front and back.
I wrote several articles with the eSteem app and each time the preview in the app looked beautiful. But in other font ends (like Steemit) only a word salad or formatting salad came out.
That works better...
But the number of emojis is good and it's really fun to write texts with the actually simple and nice editor.
What also disturbed me were the payout infos under the contributions.
These are simply displayed in the selected currency.
It's very nice, but I'd like to know how much SP or Steem it is.
Also the Windows App has a very nice control for the upvotes, although I have to say that it was not very nice to use.
If you then move the mouse pointer out of the window, the slider disappears directly and resets itself.
But if you gave 20% before and press Upvote too fast, you give 20% to the next post, although you wanted to give 100%.
Which is also very positive, there's a dark theme.
The overall picture of the eSteeam Surfer already looks very good and of course he can do something.
But at the moment he's still a bit weird with the editor.
So I will continue to use it, not the editor, but the program makes a very solid impression and can do something.
Conclusion
I have tested the Android and the Windows App and am quite overwhelmed.
It's a solid app and it can do something.
Of course there are still some parts and functions that can be done better, but on the whole you can praise the developers, because there is a lot of work to be done.
What's also important to know is that unfortunately you can't find it on the eSteem website, that the app still registers as "beneficiaries".
I don't think it's so good not to play with my cards on.
But on the whole, I'm really happy with both apps.
The basic systems worked and quite well.
Of course it has to be said that you should test the apps yourself and get a picture of them.
