[Practical Fiqh Ramadan]

INTENTION
.
Mandatory for the fasting person to intend in the evening, whether it is obligatory fasting and fasting sunnah.
In saheeh hadeeth, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:

انما الاعمال بالنيات "
.
Indeed all charity is only by intention.
Mandatory Fasting Purposes
.

1. Enter the time of intentions start drowning the sun until dawn. .
2. Must define fasting like Ramadan, kaffarah, qadha, or nazar.
3. Should not collect two obligatory fasts with one intention. .
   Some Cases Related to Intent
   .
4. Compulsory fasting Ramadhan on every night, because every day is a mustaqillah worship (worship aloof). Because it is not valid with one intention for one month in the opinion of the mu'tamad. But it is disqualified to do so, because there are 2 faidah to it, namely:
   a. His daily fast on the day he forgot to intend the night;
   b. Get the perfect fasting reward (one month) if he dies before the perfect month of Ramadan, for looking at his intentions. .
5. It is not mandatory to include fardhiyyah intentions (fardhu intentions) in the opinion of mu'tamad (strong opinion). For there is no Ramadan fast except all fardhu. .
6. Not enough for a person who is fast just a tasahhur ie eat sahur so strong fast without including the intention of imsak and ta'yin. Purpose of the imsak is to refrain from a case that breaks the fast, while ta'yin means to determine the type of fasting, such as Ramadan, or kaffarah, or qadha, or vow. .

   نويت صوم غد عن أداء السنة لله تعالى
   .
   I intention fasting tomorrow from the fardhu month of Ramadan this year because Allah Ta'ala "
