Barisal volunteer party protest rally
In Barisal, volunteer party demonstrations were found to be involved in police obstruction. Haji KM Shahidullah, convener of the district volunteer group, complained. The procession was demanded to withdraw the verdict on false cases against all the leaders, including BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and vice chairman Tarique Rahman.
On Sunday (April 29th), a procession was brought out in front of BNP's party office at the city's Sadar Road around noon. The leaders complained that police stopped the rally when the procession stopped at the main gate of the Ashwin Kumar Hall adjacent to the party office.
Prior to the demonstration, district convener of the district volunteer group Haji KM Shahidullah presided. Metropolitan Volunteer Group's Joint Convenor Mir Jahidul Kabir and Khandaker Abul Hasan Limon also spoke on the occasion.
