Steemmonsters end of season results.

in #esteem6 years ago (edited)

Another season is over in @steemmonsters and it's time to claim the end of season rewards and see how we have all done. The battle is getting tougher every season and it's becoming quite a struggle to get up to the top of the foodchain. Unfortunately for me getting to Diamond II was my limit for this time and 50 reward cards.

I collect my cards every day and feel that I am doing fairly well from the game but until now I have never looked at how the reward cards stack up for me. For the next while I will be keeping track of each of them to see how it turns out over the course of a season.

Daily reward cards

( This is taken on the 06/02/19 and prices will change on a daily basis but I will keep these numbers for the duration of the season.)

Going off the average market prices for all of the different rarities of reward card and breaking down those prices we get:

  • Legendary - $2.711
  • Epic - $0.222
  • Rare - $0.068
  • Common - $0.034

LegendaryEpicRareCommon

Total Value for end of season = $2.348

Summary

So where does that leave me. After tracking every card for the past 14 days and taking the average price per card from the 6th of the February I have earned a total of $8.534 worth of cards from the 129 cards that I received. This was a fairly average set without any legendaries and only a couple of golds. Most of them were common cards that everybody seems to get a lot of. In terms of value I could sell the whole amount into STEEM and come away with 28.46 STEEM for my trouble. For all of the hours that go into the game it wouldn't make sense to play just for the rewards that come from the game so it's a god thing that I enjoy the challenge of hitting the daily quests and climbing the rankings. I also hear the automated tournaments are not far away which is great news and should add another positive to the game for us.

With that said, There is no other game that I play which has ever given me financial rewards for playing it and even if that is about $15 dollars a month what harm. I will be converting some of it into STEEM anyway which will have a lot higher value in the future and if the game takes off in the mainstream some of those cards could be worth a lot more going forward. Either way, I will be starting all over again as we enter the new season.

It was fun and I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

I never tracked these metrics myself but from its looks, that is not bad for a season. Definitely a good way to build Steem or a deck of cards. I don’t mind spending the time even though it has been limited lately as it allows me to do something different around the ecosystem.

It takes time to get there every day but I don't mind especially in the winter when a lot of the evening is spend on the couch anyway.

I'm just trying to build my sp in whatever way I can while the prices are still low. I'll probably track a few more seasons just to get a more accurate picture plus it makes me do it every day. Getting ready for all those tournaments starting soon.

A much better reward than I got!
I do think that you have a bug in your post. The complete summary looks like a heading. Don't know if this was done on purpose just wanted to let you know.
Cheers,
Peter

Thanks for pointing it out. I posted in esteem and it showed up fine but there was an error in my html commands but it's all fixed now. My bad.

I'm thinking about buying up some stronger cards and a few legendary summoners to get back up a few levels. There will be automatic tournaments coming in very soon and a lot of STEEM to be won so it might not be a bad time to upgrade a bit. I won't get too far just on the rewards i've been getting.
