I still love you mom,
We've been over this.
We may fight and Argue,
To the point where we both want to quit,

10 year old me gathered the courage to say,
"Hey mom I love you, and I think I'm gay."
You heard those words from My sinful Tongue,
With fear and hate in your eyes,
You turned to run.

I still remember the day as if it were last week,
With sweat in my hands and tears on my cheek,
I stopped you at your door,
With tears in my eyes,
I told you I loved you,
And then I cried,

You looked in me with cold indifference,
Slammed the door in my face,
The door was white,
And your words absent,

6 months had passed and I realized I was wrong,
I wasn't gay - but straight all along!
