in #esteem7 years ago

The pillars of islam consist of five items. Each item has meaningful values. They have correlation one another. The five.pillars are as follows:

1.The belief (iman) : that there is no GOD to be worship except ALLLAH (the one GOD) and that Muhamad (peace and blessings of GOD be upon him) is his messengger.

2.Perfoming the prescribed prayers : five timesa day.

3.Fasting :once a year from sunrise to sunset throughout the entrie month of ramadhan

4.Chairty.hich is paid to the poor and need once every year.

5.Hajj : which is the pilgrimage to makkah once in a lifetime if one is physically able can afford it financially

Pillars are part pf a building. The building in this.case is the perfect human being who cares and protects the rights of all creations and fellow humans, thus establishing a society in which truth and justice and peace is superme.

Can a Muslim be a "perfect human being who cares and protects the rights of all creations and fellow humans, thus establishing a society in which truth and justice and peace is superme" or even be a Muslim, if he or she:

  1. Agrees with Christians that Allah is 3 in 1, without negating that Allah is one?
  2. Prays whenever he feels like it, rather than 5x daily?
  3. Never fasts?
  4. Pays only 1% of his income to charity because his taxes to the government help support the poor and needy?
  5. Takes a pilgrimage to the grave of a famous Christian or Jewish martyr instead of to Mecca?

Does a Muslim need a 7th Century Arab prophet to tell him to do these things in order to be Submitted (Muslim) to Allah?

How does one follow Mohammad in a modern society?
