Google Ready to Break Controversial Contract with Pentagon
Google says Google will not renew its controversial contract with the US Department of Defense, following the public will and pressure from employees.
According to a source close to CNN, on Friday (1/6), Google Cloud CEO Diane Greene told employees that the technology company will honor the previous contract which will be valid until March 2019, but will not ask for an extended agreement.
Google itself works with the Pentagon in Project Maven that develops Artificial Intelligence (AI) on drone aircraft.
Google also developed a machine learning algorithm that will help the Pentagon improve its staking capabilities
