MayDay, Workers are taught to make soap

To commemorate the labor day that falls on May 1st or Mayday, Bogor City union with the Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) Bogor City held an entrepreneurship training at Purnama Hotel, Megamendung Sub-district, Bogor Regency on Thursday (3/5) night.

Head of Bogor City Dinaskertrans Samson Purba said, in commemorating Mayday in the city of Bogor, it innovated. Namely holding an entrepreneurship training activity to the workers of Bogor City on 3 to 4 May 2018.

"Training this time is different no matter the rules or regulations, but the entrepreneurial material.In particular this year the workers were given skills training to make soap and perfumes," he said.

Samson continued, the materials for the preparation of this workforce were given to unions from every factory or company representative in Bogor City.

"Well after the work, usually the workers are confused about where they are, the minimum of this training can give them a choice, besides the workers have preparation when entering retirement," he added.

Samson said, after emerging entrepreneurs can open new job opportunities, the impact of reducing unemployment as well.

"At least from 50 participants in the first batch, some people can open a business during retirement and if the impact is good, we will make this activity as routine every Mayday," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Alliance of Trade Unions, Zulkifli said the Mayday Warning of Bogor City this year, from Disnakertrans city Bogor held training to the union so that meteka can be an entrepreneur.

"Yes we hope this will continue every year, this year will make soap and perfume, maybe next year catfish or anything to entrepreneurship.We definitely support continue, my hope for second or next generation is always new," he explained.

In line with Zulkifli, Chairman of Bogor City SPN, Budi Mudrika welcomes this entrepreneurship training activity. But in this activity is also a moment to unite labor representatives in Bogor City.

"This activity is a concept of the latest Mayday.The concept for in this area, not differentiate, but positioned more useful and more positive," he concluded.
