The lost beauty

in #esteem5 years ago (edited)

Hello guys... Good night!!!

The photo that you see in the picture in this post, is one of the beaches located at the end of the coast of the village of Pusong Lama Lhokseumawe, Aceh.
The location is one of the beaches that was once the center of local tourism in the area of the city of Lhokseumawe, Aceh.

Now the location is just a pile of land measuring 100 meters long and 50 meters wide because it was hit by the tsunami disaster on December 26, 2004 a few years ago.

If you stand from the west side of the reservoir the distance is only about 500 meters to get to the island, but you have to pass through a deep river located at the mouth of the Cunda overpass.

The darut island is very close to the shoreline of the open ocean when facing west. This is caused because the island is the residual land of the population that was once a residential area, but after a very high erosion procesa, the land becomes an island.

If you are from the north then to go to the island is very far because the village's shore is about 1000 meters to get to the island, and even then have to pass through a pool of sea water that passes in the direction of the ocean.

In 1998 until 2003 the island was one of the most beautiful islands, because it stood foreign which was flanked by water, both sea water or river water. Then on the island also grows all kinds of plants and also species of insects and wild birds, both forest birds or seagulls, which are the top priority of their habitat.

The joining of all types of birds both from the sea and forest birds due to the influence of the island which is very close to the hills and sea, so they are very easy to reach the location because it is very strategic.

In addition to its very strategic location, the island is a very convenient location for fishermen if they want to rest when they are tired and look for a place to shelter, so that the island is always guarded together by both the fishermen and the villagers who live in the area.

If in the afternoon the locals always use the location as a place of recreation or a place to unwind after a day of work, do not have to take a day off but on weekdays even though the location is always busy and active with people around the island.

Now the island of Darut lives in a pile of land that stands foreign on the sea side and reservoir side which is very rarely visited by the people because of its location which is far from the reach and the terrain that is difficult when reaching the island.

Although sometimes the oyster fishermen who come from the local village use the river bank to look for sustenance in the form of oysters and snails.

The beauty of the island has faded because there are few living plants and even wildlife does not occupy the location, so the island's atmosphere is more lonely and spooky.

The island that was once beautiful and big now lives only in name and is getting smaller due to the tsunami that hit Aceh on December 26, 2004.

Thus a very brief memory of this beautiful island, may this recollection be an afterthought for us, because something will disappear if God wants it to quickly or quickly disappear. Thank you very much.
