300 sticks of Lannea coromandelica. A Pepper Project
I have an interest in organic farm. I have a dream, have a natural cafe with view of pepper's tree, serving a drink combined with long pepper to make the body still warm and hot in cold season. I was try to plant a farmland of organic plantation although not large. Firstime I choose to plant a kind of pepper, long pepper, also known as Lada Panjang or Cabe jamu. So I try to find information about it. How it can grow, where and when we must plant. What the benefit of long pepper. There is many benefit of long pepper in health and medicine we can find online. A natural way to keep in health.
To growing a long pepper there must a media, something used as a vine pole to stand-up the long pepper's tree. Ideal for this purpose, I used 300 trees of Lannea coromandelica. A difficult name, we known in Indonesia as : Wood of Jaranan, Wood of Kudo, Wood of Kedondong laki and other name. This plant very usefull, some can used in food and also can used in herbal medicine too.
I will tell story about that. And there is the stage :
Stage 1 : Preparing the farm
cultivate land manually and traditionally by digging the soil
Stage 2 : Preparing the vine pole
I am order and buy this wood from a people in Surabaya, same peope I was order to buy of Long pepper seeds bud.
I use organic fertilizer from goat manure
Stage 3 : Growing the vine pole
The tree of Lannea coromandelica growing very lush now. The growing field is ready, but until to this day the long pepper order hasn't arrived. might not even come. In this case i was loss in time and money because i was full pay of the order.
Therefore finally now I am trying to cultivate my own white pepper as an alternative to filling the land so that it doesn't stall too long. During this time, while waiting it is often on the sidelines of the jaranan tree I plant potatoes, cayenne pepper or beans alternately. I wish and I hope this be succesful. So the project of pepper will continue. Continue to get purpose of fortune in organic and herbal farmland. And I hope someday, a Cafe with organic and herbal drink will build in my own farmland. :)
