My ETH/ETH mining rig almost 100% set up
I have been waiting for all the parts to come from Amazon for 1 week. My rig is running on 1 GPU until the rest of my parts come. My GPU is a NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB mini hashing at 18.5 MH/S. Motherboard is Asrock H81 BTC Pro R2.0, Intel Celeron 2.8 GHZ processor 1150 Socket, 4GB DDR3 Ram, Hard drive is a 32 GB Flah drive running UBUNTU 14.04 as OS, and Miner Gate software as miner until I figure out how to use ETHmine or Claymore miner.
I am living proof that anyone can mine I am not very computer savvy but managed to build this from start to finish watching only Youtube videos. It took me several hours to build it I spent over 8 hours I thought I bought a bad mother board or bad PSU at first cause nothing would boot up or run, I had to read several online forums and watch YouTube videos to trouble shoot my system. I had done everything correctly the problem is the Power Station unit was very tricky and you have to wiggle on all the cables and wires to get them to work and the cables I did not have all plugged in all the way. Ubuntu was also tricky and had to read several forums to figure out how to install GPU drivers and the MinerGate software, MinerGate would not install on Ubuntu I had to open a terminal change a couple settings and force an install of the software.
To force MinerGate install I had to do the following that worked for me
"go to ubuntu software center and search for "gdebi" or you can do sudo apt-get install gdebi after installing it, find the .deb package you wish to install, right click it, choose properties, and find the tab that says something like "open with" after finding it, choose gdbi and select "set as default". you may then close the menus and double click the .deb file and install it with gdebi"

Ubuntu is supposed to be much more efficient at mining then Windiws is the reason I choose Ubuntu as the software but I think I like it much more then Windows as well.

Eth will go back up for mining probibility. I wanted to make a rig myself but I am not sure how to exactly. So I am using my computer, it has only 2gig so i have to go trough nicehash. Thanks for sharing :)
Yeah I tried with my computer it was only doing 300 KH/S not even 1% of 18.5 MH/S which I am getting from only 1 video card. Once I have 6 GPUs set up I will be hashing over 100 MH/S
Is it possible 🙆 to use a raspberry pi to set up a mining ⚒ rig, i first thought 💭 that first small box ☐ was a raspberry pi!
I think it might be possible but not 100% sure never tried it. Probably an ANTMiner would work better, I almost bought an ANTMiner but didn't know how it works or how to set up to use it, I might invest in an ANtminer down the road they get really good resturns I heard.

Yeah for sure! I am mining Eth for now I might possibly switch to a different currency if it is more profitable.
