Just a quick thought for you. It would be a lot of fun if you had a contest that allowed a full 6 or 7 days for everyone to upvote. This would allow more time for people to find your post before the participation deadline expired.
That's a possibility. If it it's open for 7 days, that means I'd need to let the contest extend longer too. ...so people can't wait until the last second to upvote and automatically win.
I could also extend voting to 5 days while leaving the contest still at a week.
