While I believe he should have submitted his idea for a hack to the developers instead of doing what he did, if you truly believe that code is king, he didn't really break the rules. Unless I missed something in terms and conditions that stricly forbid this hack. While not ethical, I feel he made the platform stronger in the long run. I do love that the blockchain made it easy to see what was happening. The transaprency should help keep people honest.
