This use case sound really interesting, but can't a company just track their products on the Ethereum blockchain with an dApp or a smart contract of some kind? Why is a separate blockchain needed for this?

I've been interested in this project since I first heard you discuss it with Suppoman. It's very ambitious with a lot of potential but my main concern is that it's a bit too complicated and difficult to understand every aspect of how it's intended to work. Does anyone know the function of the VEN tokens?
