Saturday June 10th, 9:45am:

John had just finished his second cup of morning coffee, and while he had not bothered to fully dress himself yet, he already noticed his foot tapping impatiently.

But what about the price I checked a minute ago?

he found his internal monologue repeating over and over again as he switched neurotically between /r/ethtrader and /r/yogapants, knowing the only way to truly satisfy this answer was to check coinmarketcap or his coincap app on his phone.

Suddenly though, fate intervened for John and forces beyond his control entered the scene.

A brief knocking on his door interrupted his train of thought and a voice shot out from the inscrutable foyer.

"John? Joooohn? You wash your clothes now John, I done. Okay?"

The rushing onset that the washing room was free let John spring into action and get dressed in a panic-rush to close his tabs and answer the door to thank his neighbor. His laundry was already an entire day past due, after all.

By the time John made it down to the laundry room to dump his clothes in and get back to his apartment, something amazing struck him. It had been a whole 300 seconds since he checked the price of Ether. With a wave of satisfaction that he had done something truly special, he decided to reward himself with a quick scope on the price. Or two.

man-relax-couch-study.jpgOnce John had fully dressed he goes into work mode. "this is when I have multiple tabs open to /r/ethertrader and /r/ether as well as the slacks of my favorite new Ico" He said absently avoiding eye contact with the reporter.

This is why I track my altcoins in an Excel sheet. When I feel the urge to check the dollar value of my holdings, I need to manually paste prices from Coinmarketcap.
