Ledger Hardware Wallet Can Now Send Funds To Other Ledger Using Decentralized Exchange
According to a post published on Radar Relay blog, from now on, owners of Ledger hardware wallets will be able to send funds to other hardware wallets using a decentralized exchange. By "funds", we mean ETH, or other ERC20 tokens supported by the Ethereum blockchain.
In order to do that, you have to connect your Ledger to the computer, open the Ether app and choose the Radar Relay wizard for a short setup. After that, you can send your tokens to other wallets which have the same app integrated (make sure you set your gas transaction costs and that the other wallet can receive the type of funds you're sending).
Although it may seem like a minor advancement, I think it's actually pretty huge, because:
- it makes money move faster, by bypassing the "centralized exchange middleman"
- it lowers the transaction fees
- it encourages usage of secure wallets and protocols
All in all, good news for your CryptoKitties friends out there :).

I know the feeling. That's why I created steem.supply, an easy to use and accurate tool for calculating your Steemit rewards | |
I just assumed that it was possible already.
"address to address"....no?
Address to address is one thing, hardware wallet to hardware wallet is a bit more than that :)
a hardware wallet doesn't have an address?
The address is actually on the blockchain, the hardware wallet performs a different function: it makes access to that address (or, in the case of a good hardware wallet, a pool of many addresses) very secure.
just when I think I might have it figured out...
-zap-...another complication
And why should I trust Radar Relay?
You shouldn't trust anyone blindly, that's probably some sort of bad karma, IMHO. Due your own due diligence and if they seem trustworthy, go ahead. If not, not.
i think atomic swap is future of decenzled exchanges for coin smartcontract for tokens
I understand that you will have a cost per transaction or do you place the amount?
yes, just like any transaction on the ETH network.
Thanks for providing us with helpful information! I've been watching your post, but something that I still don't understand is that if I buy XRP from a platform, will having a hardware wallet secure me from the platform suddenly closing down?
I have zero experience with XRP, sorry.
Good news for the users of the Ledger Hardware Wallet which is a safer portfolio than traditional software portfolios.
I have read in an online site that Etherdelta can do this already and can use some upgrade everytime transactions
this will be cool if happens then more people will opt for hardware wallets
Awesome update this is i need to get one hardware wallet soon
@dragosroua which hardware wallet you will suggest is good
