Ethereum 2.0

in #ethereum7 years ago

I finally caught up on Vitalik's presentations on Ethereum at Taipei (Beyond Block conference). Here is the link for people who have not seen it yet

My take away:

  1. Ethereum is looking very solid and making strides in solving current issues.
  2. There is a lack of urgency on scalability problem which could hurt Ethereum in short term but that is same for Bitcoin and it is still thriving.

I am one of those who believe that there is a better blockchain technology lurking around the corner. I personally invested in EOS and love what they are building. But we need to understand that Ethereum has a solid team, building a solid ecosystem and it is proven technology out there in operation.

Overall, it is a good sign for whole industry. We do not want Ethereum killer. We want more competition for Ethereum and multiple blockchains surviving and making the world a better place.

Sort:

Ethereum ia the future, but Vitalik is always drunk.

Vitalik is a great mind and i hope he keeps building a strong team to compete with newcomers. I think EOS is going to beat them to valuation and utility but Ethereum has a lot going for it at this moment.
