Risk Versus Reward is the Name of the Game

The Word Scam is Over Used

If you have been in the cryptogaming scene for a while, you know its still like the Wild Wild West. There are scams, dead projects, fake projects, you name it. To most of us early adopters, it all started with cryptokitties. I witnessed millions of dollars worth of ETH won and lost in their market place during its viral introduction to the market. Then came the hot potatoes. I was in early on CryptoCelebrites, and I alone earned over 25 ETH. Then I got greedy and played most of it back into CryptoCelebrites and they went dead. After that, came the pyramids. I skipped around doubling my ETH here, losing it in a scam there. Ultimately I'm still playing with ETH scattered all over the cryptogaming scene, but in my eyes its been mostly fair. It's all about risk and reward. For example a bunch of people are very pissed at CryptoCelebrities and they are screaming scam. In reality the game lasted for longer than almost all other hot potatoes. In my opinion, it died a natural death because hot potatoes aren't sustainable. When I made 25 ETH, someone/ppl lost 25 ETH. When I eventually got stuck and lost ETH, someone else won ETH from my purchases. Everyone is playing these games expecting to "earn" ETH, but they don't realize that is like going to a casino expecting to win. These are market games and with every buy there is a sell, with every winner a loser.
Let's talk pyramids. The pyramid is the most volatile. This means the risk is high, but also is the reward. If you can get into a legit pyramid early, you can make a bunch of money. Realize this means the people who enter later are paying for your profit. The risk is you might buy into a pyramid that isn't anything. I would call that a scam. You might also get into a pyramid too late. A few times I got into a pyramid right before the devs decided to sell their huge shares. The price tanked and I lost plenty of ETH. The other people that were affected like me started yelling scam. So I thought to myself, isn't the object to profit. Didn't the devs do what everyone else who is getting into the pyramid is doing.....Trying to 'earm' ETH. This made me realize what the true issue is... Community.

interesting ..
Sometimes I wonder about the source of these dreams despite the scientific interpretations ..
After all I wonder about today's episode Haha
Thanks for sharing‏..

Great post @brittuf. Most of us have similar experiences with ups and downs and wins and loses. Its seems all the people yelling scam are the people that only came recently and only came looking for a quick buck.
"Cause every hand's a winner and every hand's a loser" - the Gambler

Thats a great song, I got to watch Kenny Rogers sing that live :)

Yes I agree we are still in the wild west of cryptogaming.

I agree with everything you say as I have also been part of so many different Dapps and some times you are up and sometimes you are down.
Just like you I have also gone through a few of the scammy ones where like you say the Devs dump everything after a week.
That is why I like EtherStocks, there is along term vision as this is just the begining of CryptoGames

The crypto world can either put you at a gaining or loosing end.. When you are happy you hit a jackpot, another person is wailing

But then, life is about risk.. If you don't take risks then you are not ready to become rich.

Cryptocurrency currency is for strong minds and the courageous ones. It's not for the faint hearted or cowards. Only those who take the risks reap bountifully

I actually understand how you feel about this , crypto gaming is for those who knows how to run after their winning to play to win another day but it’s been programmed in such a way that it will definitely entice the winner to play more .

Trustworthy is the main word in this crypto war but even the road is hard we will go on and believe in, thank you @brittuf and @etherstock to make this better

your welcome

it's like in poker if you do not bet you do not win, but if you want everything you can lose, the problem is knowing when and how much to bet

If the risk is like 10 points and the reward is like 1000 points then I guess it's worth the try unless it's obvious scam but, if the risk is like 10 points and the reward is like 30 points, I would really think about it first!

So, you spend 130 SBD to buy votes for your post, get it into the trending page, and then...
You start talking about taking part in "pyramids" and high-risk gaming/gambling...
Then you say, "It's all about COMMUNITY," with a bunch of Romper-Room/crayon graphics?!?!
That is some of the scammiest $#!t I've seen since I've been on SteemIt!!! :D That's funny as hell!!! 0.o

u obviously can't comprehend the message. I didn't create an ecosystem where promoted doesn't work and the only way to achieve visibility is through bots. I'm letting people know in this market that they are casino like games and should be cautious which projects they back. I don't know how that can be scammy. I'm not profiting off of this information. You gave the perfect example of how when people don't understand things they just say scam.

My strategy was to park my ETH in the featured stocks. Now I play games like chibifighters with all the dividends that keep rolling in
