Hi Eric, typical best practice is to indicate that a link you are providing is a referral link clearly. I don't ever see people getting flagged for referral links when they plainly state that they gain X benefit if you sign up through the link - and honestly you might get some people that sign up just to get you that benefit because you spell it out clearly. I have personally signed up for websites through referral links just to get a benefit to a post author that told me about the referral link; and I never click through on a referral link that is not identified as such, instead stripping off the numbers and visiting the root URL.
