Looking at the continuous increase on the rate of people powering down, this is certainly not a good sign. I can vividly remember when this rate used to be less than 2.0.

I think people are getting tired of waiting for the highly publicized SMT and HF0.20.0. Honestly, the current linear equality system is really discouraging. It doesn't allow people make maximum use of their powers to reward hard working Steemians and to a large extent encourages cycle voting.

This could have accounted for the current pace at which Steemians are powering down.

We need SMT and HF0.20.0 now than ever! We love steemit and looks forwards to its continuous existence.
